Hesperia Music Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
Our teachers are either college trained or have professional performance experience. They have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson.
Our local students enjoy lessons in-person and virtually. Hesperia Music Academy has the added benefit of offering virtual lessons for students out of our area. This is especially beneficial to our active duty military families prone to moving often.
A proven track record of excellence since 1990. Visit our testimonial page to see what our students are saying. Hesperia Music Academy has a proven track record of offering quality music, piano, singing, and brass lessons year round in the High Desert. We’ve been blessed to serve over 600 families with music lessons throughout the years.
Whether you aspire to play Bach, The Beatles, Disney or other favorites, Hesperia Music Academy will help you become the pianist you want to be. We will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not need a piano at home to take lessons; a simple full size 88 key electronic keyboard will suffice for the first six month
Free music recitals with NO participation fees. Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. We hold recitals in June and December. Our December recital is played as our annual community service performance. Our June recitals showcase our students' achievements. At all of our recitals you will hear the music that our students have chosen to play and share with you, not pieces that were assigned to them.
In order to keep our students, staff, and teachers safe, we have implemented the Family Safety Plan at Hesperia Music Academy. This includes requiring extensive background checks of all of our teachers, security cameras in all rooms and an open-door policy for parents, which means that they’re always invited to sit in on their child’s lessons. Keeping our families safe is a priority.
Embrace cutting-edge technology that enhances your learning experience with virtual sheet music, interactive tools, and real-time feedback. You'll receive an engaging and immersive education right at your fingertips. Our students use acoustic and digital instruments, Chromebooks to complete music theory, performing apps, composition on Finale, and so much more. This allows students to have a modern lesson using music teaching apps, music software and more. It is a challenge to engage children or adults, but by integrating technology with teaching apps, we’re providing a cutting edge lesson experience at Hesperia Music Academy.
Our students participate in a wide variety of activities with Music Teachers National Association, California Association of Professional Music Teachers, and Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. These activities include evaluations, Studio Festivals, various recitals, and performances.
The Studio provides comprehensive curriculum in a learning environment. Our goal is to teach students how to learn and develop self-direction, initiative, exploration, creativity and respect by introducing possibilities and opportunities.
Music lessons should be fun. They are a privilege, not a punishment or a requirement. If we are not having fun, something is wrong. Piano study isn’t always going to be easy, but it always should be satisfying. Students need to explore the possibilities
April Barton, Director, is a member of Music Teacher’s National Association (MTNA), California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT), and Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA). She holds a Texas teaching credential for music through 12th grade Montessori certificates in early childhood and lower elementary, and has been an educator for over 20 years. Our studio is blessed to teach students locally and across the United States.
I have seen how music can influence students and bring joy into a home. I have helped hundreds of students explore and develop their talents because I believe that everyone should have music in their home.
